How Markers Helper came to be

Founders of Markers Helper

Where It All Began

Markers Helper was born from a simple observation. Kent, a software developer, noticed his partner Leah, a law professor, spending countless evenings buried in stacks of papers, juggling documents, rubrics, and grade sheets.

"There has to be a better way," Kent thought, watching Leah struggle with document management while grading legal papers for her students. But the existing solutions either compromised student privacy, required constant internet connections, or simply weren't designed for the specific needs of higher education.

So began a journey to build a tool that respected both the craft of thoughtful grading and the practical time constraints faced by educators everywhere.

Our Mission

At Markers Helper, we believe that grading should be efficient without sacrificing quality. We're committed to building tools that respect the educator's craft, the student's privacy, and everyone's time.

Today, Markers Helper is used by professors and teaching assistants across dozens of universities, helping them provide better feedback in less time. What started as a solution to Leah's document management hassles has grown into a mission to transform how educators approach assessment.

"We built Markers Helper because we believe educators deserve tools that respect their expertise, their time, and their commitment to student learning."
